I just read this reader's comment from Sahara Reporters' Site on the tongue lashes that our president has been getting lately from Nigerians and it stirred hope in my heart.I am beginning to think that all these crisis and awareness/awakening going on in our will mark a positive turning point in our nation.We will look back and say "it all started in January 2012".
I particularly like this commenter's suggestion.He proffers a solution that looks like one of the ways forward:

Our system requires complete overhaul. Our President is not such a bad leader. Our problem is lack of an entrenched system. Mr President would have done a lot better with a system of Government in place. I support the call for a constitutional conference. This would greatly solve the Nigerian problem. The National Assembly should halt the constitutional review while a constitutional conference is convened. Our Nigeria is not a hopeless case. Let's met with our pen and papers and draft a working agreement that would give rise to a working system. It's our own and we must make it work. Let's find a solution
