0 About Aso Rock's N18.4bn for Fuel and Recharge card

  The chronicle begins!
Here is an online newspaper reader's reaction to the N18.4bn Aso Rock is to spend on fuel, lubricants and telephone.I think these people just reel out figures and hope no one will check, but unfortunately,Nigerians are watching like hawks and this reader has whipped out his calculator and given us a break down.I think I like this:
Sargon

"N18.4 billion amounts to N50.27 million per day. A 33,000 liter tanker of diesel at N160 per liter costs N5.28 million. A 120 liter drum of lubricant at N1000 per liter costs N200k. If we assume a full tanker of diesel and a drum of lubricant per day for fuel guzzling and lubricant pissing gen sets for Aso Rock show of shame (powered by PHCN ineptitude and Aso Rock's occupants' greed) plus N500k per day phone bill, we spend about N2.2 billion at these ridiculous consumption rates. This means a N16.2 billion inflation of cost or  cost figures over 8.3 times the real cost. These are issues Organised Labour and Civil Society groups should have taken up rather than the self centred fight against removal of fuel subsidy. N16.2 billion per annum will fix a good number of Federal Govt roads nation wide. Shame on Goodluck Jonathan for this insensitivity and hypocrisy!"
